Hi Bob. Could it be that the PCM was testing to see if there was an actual rich condition? If the O2 sensors were shorted to voltage or whatever, and the PCM ramped up fuel, it would see an increase in RPM due to a lean condition caused by the fuel trim. If it... Login to read more.
