I remember those fords doing that, and yes, the lincoln had a 140a alternator if I recall right (Was at Ford Recon from 91-97, saw alot of 85-95 stuff).

I rarely saw fords shut down injectors for overcurrent though...but I did see injector spray patterns go ... Login to read more.
