Most of the improvement with the Vortec heads will be at higher rpm and not affect lower rpm much- if lobes, springs, etc. are all ok, I would consider advancing the cam 4 deg. to try to improve idling and vacuum at low speeds. A bad lobe or spring won't be a ... Login to read more.
