3.8 GM timing cover, chain, advice?

Hi TDF,

Some questions and or advice before I tear into my wifes car. 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, 3.8 series II, non-supercharged. Been a very reliable car with 192,000 mile on it. Doesn't burn any oil and overall in pretty good shape.
