I'm chasing the same demons with a 99 Escort @.0 DOHC VCT engine. Baro hertz drops to 140 plus or minus a couple of degres. After clearing resets it starts @ 156 which is normal for south LA. I do have low vacuum, 16", which is what I think is whacking the bar... Login to read more.
