Other than the nitpick that the 8-volt supply isn't VREF, (it's the 8-volt supply for the CKP, CMP and VSS Hall-Effect switches) I'm on the same trail here.

If you take out the 8-volt entirely, you get a P0320, CKP signal missing. Login to read more.
