I'd be marking TDC and putting a timing light on it. Sounds like maybe the harmonic balancer may have moved. A jumpped timing chain is possible also. You might wanna check CMP/CKP relationship with a scope. How's the vacuum at idle? Much under 19in would have ... Login to read more.
