From what I read in SI, the pump is run at 33% duty cycle under normal conditions - I think you're reading your duty cycle off of the wrong polarity. If the pump is pulling 4.2 amps at this 33% duty cycle, that sounds like too much. Try a direct jumper... Login to read more.
