34 years of using starting fluid to aid starting diesels. Peugeots, Mercedes, VWs, Olds 5.7s, GM 6.2 & 6.5s, 7.3s of all flavors, virtually every HD truck engine and many off-road diesels. Never once did I do any damage. Either I'm lucky or my method works.
