Robert, I think Ryan is right the 5.7 you put in probably has a PCM for a 4L60E and the Diesel had a 4L80E. I would get a PCM from a 5.7 with a 4L80E trans and also I have always changed the converter when going to gas. Good Luck. HTH Login to read more.
