I've fixed the same problem on a 97 Max. 325 mV voltage drop on the ground side is kinda high, IMO. I try and aim for under .2V or so. Like Andy Chandler states, the new starters are faster revving. Make sure the proper one is installed. They are quite accessi... Login to read more.
