I agree with Don & Chuck (sort of). A flat surface is essential on both the head and the manifold. An air board and 36 grit parer works nicely. We use no aftermarket gasket but do use the OE shield. We also use grade 5 bolts with heat treated thick washers. "c... Login to read more.
