Bill, this engine uses both a hydrulic lifter and a tappet adjuster on the exhust side of the valve train.(intake is hydrulic only).Honda's procedure is to take up all freeplay with tappet touching the valve stem, then tighten an aditional 1-1/8 turn. Honda ne... Login to read more.
