We just finished a Passat with the same problem. First removed the t/stat, gutted it, reinstalled the restrictor. Then pinched the oil cooler hoses to prevent slush going back in it and mixed automatic dish soap (Cascade) in a gallon jug with hot water, about ... Login to read more.
