Ken we see this on F700 trucks that run on LP, timing causes lots of problems with heat. We run them up to 3,000 rpm and set timing at 30 BTDC with vac advance disconnected, if these vans are EEC IV you might have to get creative. HTH regards Bob Login to read more.
