Since it won't shift even with throttle release the TV is stuck at WOT. IIRC the 84 Tbirds had a TV rod instead of a cable as they were throttle bocy injection insted of MPFI. The cables pull & the rods push so he needs to make sure he has the correct lever on... Login to read more.
