A few years ago, I had a late 80's Volvo w/ a 2.3 turbo in for a head gasket. When it was finished, it had a missfire very similar to the one you describe. A new cap and rotor didn't help. I was reminded of a similar situation with a Ford 2.3 turbo in a Merkur... Login to read more.
