I doubt it's the oil but more of the grade problem. My Jetta always ran 20w50 in the summer and 10w40 in winter, that's what I used to use on Bimmers also. I guess someone decided 10w30 was they way to go and was cheaper. Had someone told me that was in the bu... Login to read more.
