Hi Peter

The ABS ECM is connected to the PCM via a serial communication link.

I have used our CODA PC scan tool on VRs before and have had no trouble retrieving ABS diagnostic trouble codes using the VR's 16 pin diagnostic plug under the steering column. (... Login to read more.
