The 4.9L uses the smaller 14 psi injectors (as opposed to the 19 psi injectors the 5.0L uses). That is why the pressure must be so much higher than traditional Fords (smaller injectors need higher pressure to pass sufficient fuel). At least that's the way it's... Login to read more.
