Okay, I posted the fix in another post in this thread, but this is how I diagnosed this one.

I checked for DTC's and found the FR [2002 GMC Envoy, ECM/Inputs/Outputs Scandata] . I noted the rear O2 sensor was reading rich, which is not all that unusual, but ... Login to read more.
