Hi Scott

It was called an isolation gap by Champion SP. They put a gap in the "U" plugs. It makes the voltage rise to a point that will jump the fouled gap. The idea was to keep the plug from fouling at idle and slow speed driving. In 1969? GM started making... Login to read more.
