Re: Why do spark plugs have resistance?
Resistance cuts down on radio frequency interference. (RFI) Also, "holds off" the spark until it's ready to fire, makes a hotter spark. At least that's my understanding. Coil must be designed for it, because we used to run steel wires, no resistance. No misfir... Login to read more. ![]()
