Using a power supply to convert 120v AC to 12v DC will be more expensive to use. A 50 watt bulb will use just over .4 amps AC where the power supply will use about 2 amps AC just to produce enough power to light a 50 watt 12v bulb. That's about 4x more expensi... Login to read more.
