In 1994 GM started the 3100 (3.1 VIN 'M') in a fair amount of their vehicles. It was available in option in:

Chevrolet - Beretta and Corsica

Pontiac - Grand Am and Grand Prix

Oldsmobile - Achieva, Cutless Ciera, Cutless Ciera Cruiser & Cutlass Supreme
