'00 Explorer -- to be lean or not to be

Howdy folks,

Got an interesting one that I would like to run by yall.

2000 Explorer with MIL on. Codes "P0172" (lean bank 1) & "P0174" (lean bank 2). This IS NOT a SOHC motor, it is the standard 4.0.
