Ed, you're correct. But in my experience, once that spider leaks, the carbon that gets washed out of the intake hangs the egr open and cause a lean idle. In fact anytime I have an egr issue on the 4.3, I assume, usually correctly, it was due to a leaking spide... Login to read more. ![]()
