Hi Kris, As Carl said, a rough idle is normal. The 87 3.8 idled a lot rougher than the 86, felt like a definite miss on some vehicles. Your concern should be the stall on cold start. Check for EGR valve opening when put in gear cold (seen that), check for carb... Login to read more.
