I'm thinking of 3 possibilities

1 Rats or mouse damage to the wiring loom.

2 Or maybe an ignition switch [1994 Chevrolet Pickup C1500, Ignition - Primary Photo]

3 Looks like it might need a water pump, from looking at the underside of the hood.
