Gotta disagree with you here.

Usually when I see over-rev damage it looks more like the clutch exploded. Some kid tries to downshift from 5th to 4th and manages to get it into 2nd, spins the clutch disc up to 18,000 rpm and all of the disc lining... Login to read more.
