I'd leave the pan in place just now. Cut open the filter media and look for metal. Brass or aluminum-looking chips. If that's OK, I'd run it to see what happens. A non-leaking engine with 5 quarts missing may have other issues. It'd be nice to run it for a bit... Login to read more.
