If it got that bad, I agree with Dan. Get a reman for it. You could have cylinder wall, bearing problems, maybe even a bent rod if it hydro-locked. The 3800 is not known to be a problem like the 3.4 and 3.1. My guess is they drove it with problems for awhile. ... Login to read more.
