All Olds distributors rotate counter clockwise. But I've never seen an 81 that wasn't computer controlled, had the old 5 pin ALDL, and you had to unplug the 4 wire connector to set base timing. Maybe 81, being the first for 49 states, was a split year. Does it... Login to read more.
