Bill, something else. I have seen a number of BMWs with worn airflow meter pivots. The air flap can stick at times. Sometimes when moving by hand, you "overcome" the sticky spot. Check and make sure it sweeps smoothly with no apparent "sticking" or freeplay in... Login to read more.
