87 Porsche, emissions and surging idle

Journeymen good evening,

We have an 87 Carrera, 3.2L, DME (Motronic) fuel injection that has a surging idle and unstable emissions. . The car came in failed Smog, 1.46% C0 and 65ppm HC's at idle. .
