Hi David,

Yes it is madatory in Ontario that the speedometer operates properly. MOT regulation 611, revised July 27/98, Schedule 1, sec 5.(5), states - The speedometer shall be tested by driving the vehicle and the speedometer shall be in good working order.... Login to read more.
