At lower ECT, pilot injection(s) are probably active which reduces the white smoke. The pilot is likely decreased or eliminated as ECT increases. Did you check cetane rating of fuel and verify accuracy of ECT sensor and that thermostat(s) are working correctl... Login to read more.
