For absolute noise I think this will be hard to beat. A few years ago we rebuilt a 20V149DDECIII for a genset. We load tested it sitting in the workshop on chassis rails with a huge Mesabi radiator and a fixed fan. You can only imagine the noise running at 1.6... Login to read more.
