Just checked the schematic, Tim's right, there is a fuse.

Pink wire from alt, changes to Yellow at the fuse and continues directly to the cluster.

It also shows an hourmeter and a (optional?) alarm module as separate legs of the same circuit. Those shouldn... Login to read more.
