Hello Jimmy, I am thinking the glow plugs need to heat the cylinder up to start or you will get heavy smoke till they warm up. I know with the 7.3 buses we work on even in our warm shop if the glow plugs are not cycling they are very hard starting. I would go ... Login to read more.
