Don, You have an easy one here. Do as Albin suggested, pump out all the gas you can, add some Stanadyne, fill the tank with clean diesel. Since the engine wasn't restarted with gasoline, you won't have an lubricity issues with the injectors. I've done this exa... Login to read more.
