Donald, there were quite a few changes from 2005 to 2006. A 2005 Duramax VIN 2 is very different than a 2006 Duramax VIN 2. I would advise against trying to make it work. I highly reccomend finding an 05 engine, or getting one from a GM dealer. The remans I ha... Login to read more.
