Hey John the temp is OK if your thermocouple is reading pre-turbo, or even immediately after the turbo but if you get more then an inch or so post turbo your EGT will read lower then actual. If you are 6-8 inches from the turbo likely you are 300+ degrees hott... Login to read more.
