Yeah, the 216 is pretty old technolgy, started in the '30s or perhaps earlier. They oiled the rods similarly to what you stated for pistons. There was oil fed to troughs under the arc of each rod. The rods had dippers on them that led to a hole in the rod cap ... Login to read more. ![]()
