All Alternators have ripple. The Ripple frequency varys with RPM. The Ripple ampitude varys with load. Max output would give higher ripple. Avalanche diodes supresses voltage spikes over 26 volts (there about)has nothing to do with the ripple. Older ford truck... Login to read more.
