If you followed the troubleshooting manual for ECM won't communicate,and you have an ECM just 4 month's old,and of course if it is a Genuine Cummins ECM,you need to get a Rapid Serve authorization to replace ECM under warranty,so customer shouldn't have to pay... Login to read more.
