Sam, as a veteran of 25 years of Colorado tailpipe testing I found that setting the idle up to about 1000 to 1100 rpm would make the older TBI units pass. The HC problem comes from computed timing pulling these to around 20 BTDC at idle. HTH Regards Bob Login to read more.
