99 Ford 7.3 P$D Powerstroke misfire at idle

Could really use some help here.

1999 Ford F550 with 70,000 mi. arrived at shop with a misfire at idle and an occassional lag in accelleration from idle. Good power and response at middle and upper RPM ranges.
