Engine knocks that quiet with heat are quite often caused by scuffed or collapsed pistons. I'd also check the crankshaft endplay. Bearing noise usually increases with heat as the oil thins and if the mains are worn enough to pound, you can often watch oil pres... Login to read more. ![]()
