This high-load auxiliary situation isn't abnormal with trucks. The 15+ voltage spike is IMHO. Isn't the field controlled by the PCM? If so, maybe there's enough capacitance in the PCM's KAM or battery circuit to slow down its response to over-voltage. While my... Login to read more.
